NASMM’s Conference Buddy Program
One of the most intimidating things to do as a professional is to attend a multi-day conference on your own. The prospect can be daunting you can't help but wonder if you will meet new people, have someone to sit with during meal functions, and someone to chat with at social events. It's natural to be a bit anxious.
To help facilitate an amazing conference experience for all of our attendees, NASMM is again offering our very popular Conference Buddy Program for the 2013 Conference. We are also seeking volunteers to function as Buddies. Through the Conference Buddy Program, NASMM will match conference attendees with a "Buddy" who will meet them on the first night of the conference and provide a friendly face and a person to connect with throughout the conference.
We do not expect "Buddies" to spend the entire conference together, as this is not a mentorship program. Our hope is the initial support a "Buddy" can give to a conference attendee will help the attendee maximize his or her overall conference experience.
If you would like to have a buddy at this year's conference, please indicate your interest in the area provided on the registration form. You will be notified of your buddy prior to the conference. To register for a buddy, your registration must be received by December 14, 2012.
Conference Buddy Volunteers Needed!
If you would like to volunteer to be a Conference Buddy at the 2013 Conference, please indicate your willingness to volunteer in the "I will be a Buddy" box on the NASMM 2013 Annual Conference Registration Form. Regardless of how many conferences you have attended, your help will be most welcome!
